After working for over thirty three (33) years in the construction
industry as a project engineer, estimator, project manager, project
executive, and vice president of operations for some of the largest
construction companies in the United States and the world, John has had
the opportunity and privilege to provide Program Management, Design-Build,
Construction Management, and General Contractor delivery services for
many types of public and private sector projects. He has been responsible
for the day to day management and oversight of all types of commercial
projects, including libraries, office buildings, shopping centers, major
league baseball stadiums, hotels (both domestic and internationally),
regional call centers, sports and entertainment arena’s, high rise condominium’s,
and Caribbean resorts.
John received his degree from the University of Florida and holds an active
Certified General Contractors license with the State of Florida. His experience
includes the management of construction operations for many domestic and
international construction projects throughout the southeast and eastern United
States, London, and Barbados. This experience includes selection of architects
and design professionals, organizing design and construction teams, and developing
project programming, function, budget, and schedule. He has worked closely with
Owner’s and architect/engineer’s throughout the pre-construction phase, and has
developed management systems for: team integration and communication, total project
scheduling, cost control during design, value engineering and life cycle analysis,
constructability review, bid management, phased construction, job cost accounting,
and reporting systems. Responsibilities also included oversight of over seventy
five (75) construction management personnel.
Jerry has more than thirty four (34) years of experience in the construction
management and general contractor delivery of projects. He has worked as an estimator,
senior estimator, project manger, and preconstruction manager for multiple types of
projects in the private and public sectors after receiving his Construction Management
degree from the University of West Florida.
As the Manager of Preconstruction, Jerry is responsible for all project financial analysis,
project estimating, and the development of all guaranteed maximum pricing for projects. He
provides a complete analysis of all subcontractor pricing and scopes of work and is responsible
for the selection and award of all subcontracts. Equally important is his involvement in the
design process to provide value based design solutions to the Architect to maximize cost savings
to the project. He has a great deal of experience in working with the architect and engineer to
insure that the design is coordinated in all areas of our projects.
